Every good sister date starts with caffeine and catching up on all the gossip

There’s no better travel buddy than a sister, whether by blood or by bond. She’s the one who knows your coffee order, your weird snack preferences, and exactly how to press your buttons (in love, of course). So, if I had a weekend in Fredericksburg, TX with my sister, here’s how we’d do it Texas Hill Country style.

1. Coffee, Catch-Up, and Planning Our Day at Caliche Coffee Bar

Every good sister date starts with caffeine and catching up on all the gossip that didn’t make it into texts. We’d swing by Caliche Coffee Bar for a strong flat white (for her) and a lavender latte (for me). It’s local, cozy, and they never judge you for ordering two pastries before 10 AM.

2. Art-Hopping at The Good Art Company (That's Us!)

Next stop: The Good Art Company, my pride and joy. I’d take her through the gallery and let her guess which works I think she’d love. Spoiler alert: she always gravitates to something bold and unexpected. Sisters are full of surprises.

💡Bonus Sister Moment: If she’s ever thought about collecting art (or just wants to stop buying prints from big-box stores), I’d hand her our Free Digital Guide to Collecting Art. It’s full of insider tips, investment advice, and inspiration for building a collection that’s as original as she is.👉 Download the guide here

We'd both pretend not to be competitive about who found the better souvenir.

3. A Little Retail Therapy on Main Street

Fredericksburg’s Main Street is basically made for sisters. We’d bounce from Haberdashery Boutique (for clothes we don’t need but definitely want) to vintage shops, gift stores, and book nooks. She’d buy a hat. I’d buy candles. We'd both pretend not to be competitive about who found the better souvenir.

4. Wildflowers & Wine Tastings

It’s not a Fredericksburg trip without sipping something sparkly in the sunshine. I’d take her to Signor Vineyards, the perfect spot for sister selfies and hill country vibes. Their rosé hits just right, especially when paired with cheese boards and sprawling views.

If we had time, we’d hit up Wildseed Farms to wander through the flower fields. It’s like stepping into a watercolor painting, and yes, we’d try to take the same photo 15 times until both of us liked it.

5. Dinner at Vaudeville—Because We’re Fancy Like That

We’d cap the night with dinner at Vaudeville. This place is part fine dining, part art gallery, part design experience, and 100% sister-worthy. We’d talk dreams, life, and the time she cut her bangs in 7th grade and swore it was a “statement.”

Fredericksburg has a way of slowing time, making everything feel a little more beautiful, a little more meaningful.

6. One Last Hooray (Probably with Ice Cream)

Before we head home, we’d grab a scoop of gelato at Clear River Ice Cream & Bakery and stroll the streetlights of Main. Fredericksburg has a way of slowing time, making everything feel a little more beautiful, a little more meaningful.
