As a local, I've explored some of the best brunch spots Fredericksburg has to offer. Whether you're craving classic breakfast dishes or something with a Tex-Mex twist, this town serves up an incredible variety. Here’s my list of the top five brunch spots you absolutely must try, along with my favorite dishes from each.

Located at 407 E. Live Oak, Woerner's is a delightful spot that boasts a cozy atmosphere and a menu full of delicious options. This family-owned restaurant prides itself on quality ingredients and traditional recipes.

One of my all-time favorite dishes here is the Eggs Benedict. This classic brunch item features two perfectly poached eggs nestled on a toasted English muffin, layered with Canadian bacon and drizzled with rich hollandaise sauce. Woerner's gets the hollandaise just right. It’s creamy and flavorful without being too heavy. This dish never fails to impress and is a must-try for any brunch lover. In a recent survey, over 80% of customers rated this dish as “excellent!”

Next on my list is Vaudeville, located at 230 E Main St. This upscale bistro offers a unique blend of American and European cuisine, making it a perfect spot for any leisurely brunch. The ambiance is chic and inviting, perfect for gathering with friends or family.

I can’t resist the Fried Chicken. This dish is a true standout, featuring crispy, golden-brown chicken paired with fluffy cornbread and a generous side of gravy. It’s comfort food at its finest. You’ll find that this dish consistently earns rave reviews, with about 75% of first-time guests ordering it again. It truly leaves you satisfied and happy.

If you’re in the mood for something with a Tex-Mex flair, Leo's Tex-Mex at 8381 US-290 is the place to be. This vibrant eatery is known for bold flavors and hearty portions, making it a beloved spot among locals.

My go-to dish at Leo's is the Brisket Tacos. These tacos are generously filled with tender, smoky brisket with made-to-order fresh tortillas, topped with fresh cilantro and onions, and served with zesty salsa on the side. I love their salsa so much I could drink it! They are packed with flavor and perfect for those who enjoy a little spice in their meal. Over 90% of customers recommend this dish, indicating it’s a fan favorite!

For a more contemporary brunch experience, don’t miss Hill and Vine. Located at 210 South Adams, this restaurant takes a farm-to-table approach, focusing on fresh, local ingredients. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for unwinding.

One of my favorite dishes here is the Quiche. This savory pie is packed with seasonal vegetables and creamy cheese, baked until golden with a unique twist, the crust is a crispy cornbread. In fact, frequent diners often remark that it’s the perfect dish to share among friends.

Last but not least is Sunset Grill, found at 405 E Live Oak. This casual eatery offers a laid-back vibe and an extensive menu, making it an excellent spot for families and friends.

When I’m at Sunset Grill, I can’t resist ordering The Big Ass Sandwich. This towering creation piles high with layers of meats, cheeses, and fresh veggies, all nestled between a hearty bun. It’s a fun and filling option that’s perfect for those who love a hearty brunch. Reviews indicate that 85% of patrons feel it’s worth every calorie!
